This is the shocking moment a female tourist whacks her head on a speedboat while parasailing on holiday in Egypt and ends up in the water with blood pouring from her head.
The incident was filmed off the coast of Sharm El Sheikh, a Red Sea resort in the Egyptian governorate of South Sinai, and the footage was shared on social media on 5th July.
The Ukrainian tourist, name not disclosed, was parasailing behind a speedboat when the rope broke on her parachute and she ended up in the sea.
The excursion was organised by the hotel where the tourist and her friends were staying.
In the footage, the woman is seen stranded in the sea with her parachute making her move along the water.
The speedboat approaches her position, but her parachute sends her flying through the air and into the front of the vessel with a sickening thud.
A tourist screams as the cameraperson moves to the side of the boat and films the woman lying unconscious in the water with blood apparently pouring out of her head.
After the incident, the injured tourist was pulled out of the water and taken to shore.
However, there were no doctors, ambulances or first aid workers there and the woman’s friends had to carry her in their arms to a nearby hospital, according to the news site Life.
Hospital doctors diagnosed concussion and a spinal injury and used 15 stitches to close her head wound.
According to the Ukrainian tourist’s friends, the hotel’s representatives refused to accept responsibility for the incident and we back out selling parasailing trips the following day.
They even noticed that they were using the same red parachute apparently used by their friend when the accident occurred.
It is unclear if they have filed an official complaint.
