Police in Italy have summoned a self-styled shaman for questioning after the mummified body of a mum and the rotting corpse of her daughter were found inside a home full of black magic objects.

Investigators tracked down esoteric cult leader Shekhina Shekhina – real name Paolo Rosafio – to Taurisano, Lecce Province, and summoned him for questioning today (23rd January).

This was after they found the corpses of Luana Costantini, 54, and her mother Elena Bruselles, 83, in a flat in Rome.

The grim find was made after Luana’s brother told police he had not heard from his sister or mother for days.

Police said Luana’s death likely took place a few weeks ago, while her mother’s death took place at least a month ago.

The body of Elena – who suffered from Alzheimer’s disease – was reportedly found mummified on her bed, while the rotting corpse of her daughter was found in her own room.

Both bodies – which have since been taken for autopsies – showed no obvious signs of violence.

Local media report that Luana followed an occultist movement called ‘Cubytrix’ online.

Several black magic objects – including candles, magic formulas, and ceremonial robes – were reportedly found inside the flat, as well as men’s clothing, which may belong to Rosafio.

Rosafio – who is believed to have been in a relationship with Luana before breaking up with her following a sort of seance 31st October – is reportedly the leader of Cubytrix.

He claims he left Rome on 27th December and last spoke to Luana on New Year’s Eve before losing contact with her.

Local media report that he does not work and receives disability benefits after being injured in multiple road accidents.

Rosafio claims he did not return to Luana’s flat in Rome to check she was all right because he had suffered an epileptic seizure and had been prescribed rest.

Rosafio – an accounting graduate – said of his relationship with Luana: “We met on Facebook two and a half years ago, we hit it off, then I asked her if she wanted to meet and so we did.

“She came to Puglia, she was here for 10 days, we were together. Then because of her mother, whom she had to look after, I decided to move in with her for a while.”

Rosafio’s age was not divulged in reports, but local media spoke of a large age difference between the two.

On his interest in the occult, he told local media: “No seances or calling the dead, I study a lot but I don’t practise, I am a spiritual adviser by passion.

“For Cubytrix I do live broadcasts and give people advice, given that I can’t do manual work.”

Police believe that before Luana died, she had remained in the flat with her mother’s dead body, possibly to carry on receiving her monthly pension payments.

Local media said that Luana was an anti-vaxxer and had lost her job as a geriatric nurse at a clinic.

Neighbours claimed she was suffering from depression.

Police are reportedly not considering Rosafio a suspect at this stage.
