This is the moment a black North Carolina cop reasons with a group of demonstrators demanding justice for George Floyd amid tensions in the city of Charlotte.

The incident was filmed during a protest for George Floyd, a Minnesota man who died while being restrained by police, in the city of Charlotte in the US state of North Carolina, and the video was shared on Facebook by the local police department.

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD) accompanied the clip with the message: “Officers like Jasmine Nivens are on the front lines tonight. They’re working hard to engage in conversation instead of confrontation.”
