Bizzare Accident Leads To Car Flipping Over Guard Rail And Landing Perfectly On Top Of A Bus Stop

This footage captured by a baffled driver shows the result of a bizarre car crash that saw a vehicle driven by an off-duty cop hit a guard rail at high speed, sending it flying before it landed perfectly on top of a bus stop.

Local media report that the car ended up on the bus stop after crashing on kilometre 148 of National Route 14 in Argentina’s Colon Department yesterday morning (20th September).

News site Elonce reports that local authorities believe that the Toyota Corolla seen in the video was being driven by Luis Martin, the head of the San Jose police station.

Martin was allegedly driving along the motorway and lost control of his Toyota due to the wet conditions.

According to local media, the Toyota skidded off the road and smashed into the guardrail at high speed.

Local authorities are not exactly sure how the car ended up on the roof of the bus stop, but they have hypothesised that the crash with the guard rail sent the vehicle into a barrel roll.

It is possible that the car landed on top of the bus stop in the middle of one of the rolls.

Several motorists who could not believe their eyes while driving past the bizarre sight snapped pictures of the car and posted them on social media.

Emergency services arrived at the scene shortly after the incident and the off-duty cop was transferred to hospital following the incident.

At the time of reporting, he was being treated for minor injuries to his head, wrist and cervical area.

The police department of Colon says it is still not clear how exactly the car ended up on top of the bus stop and they have launched an investigation into the case.
