This is the moment schoolgirls pretending they want to take a pic of their victim then use the arms of a sweater to trip them up in a bizarre new online trend.

These videos were filmed at the IPEFH secondary school in the city of Zinacantepec in the central Mexican state of Mexico and the footage was widely shared on social media.

In the video, two schoolgirls are seen using the arms of a sweater to trip up friends.

Meanwhile, the school has yet to comment on the filmed incidents after parents reportedly expressed their concerns.

Last week, a similar craze started on social media involving three people in a row who jump at different times while trying to trip the middle player.

The footage was filmed at the Santo Tomas de Aquino School in the northern Venezuelan capital Caracas as the new online challenge reportedly grips students across Latin America.

In the clip, three schoolboys are seen facing the camera as a filming pal counts down from three.

The two teens on either side jump simultaneously as the middle boy jumps after a short delay.

Meanwhile, while the middle contestant is still in the air, the flanking pair use their feet to sweep the youngster’s feet away, making him crash to the ground so hard that he appears to whack his head on the concrete.

A Santo Tomas de Aquino spokesperson confirmed that the video was filmed on the school premises and said they are looking into the matter.
