BIN SAVED: Newborn Baby Rescued From Dumpster By Binman

These remarkable images show how a binman rescued an abandoned newborn baby boy inside a bin bag in a dumpster.

The tot was found hidden in a bag inside a waste container near a hospital in the Nazi Abad neighbourhood of the Iranian capital Tehran.

The remarkable find was made at around 6pm on Monday, 23rd May.

The unnamed binman reportedly found the refuse sack in the waste container, opened it and noticed the baby – who was breathing – inside.

In the footage, the binman can be seen gingerly carrying the bag and placing it carefully on the pavement.

He then carefully breaks open the black bin bag to reveal the wriggling baby inside, making sure its airways are clear.

He called the emergency services, and police and paramedics were dispatched to the scene.

They cleaned the newborn – whose umbilical cord was still attached – and took him to the nearby Amir al Momenin Hospital.

At the time of reporting, the boy remained in hospital and was said to be in a stable condition with a favourable outlook.

Police are currently working to identify the perpetrator or perpetrators of the act.
