Biker YouTuber Girl Aged 22 Killed In Motorbike Accident After Buying New Bike

A young YouTuber with 70,000 followers who watched as she shared her passion for motorbikes has died after buying a bigger and better machine and crashing in an accident in Brazil.

Amanda Andrade Maturana, known online as ‘Amanda da 160’, died in a road accident in the city of Londrina, in the southern Brazilian state of Parana, on the night of 6 November.

The 22-year-old had 50,000 followers on Instagram and 70,000 followers on YouTube, where she shared videos of her experiences on two wheels.

Preliminary information suggests that Amanda crashed while fleeing from police. The young woman had published a video on Instagram showing she was at a motorbike racing event. Hours later, police were called to the illegal gathering.

According to reports, when the police arrived at the location, the participants dispersed, and Amanda fled speeding. She later lost control of her recently-purchased Yamaha XJ6 and crashed.

The police will investigate whether Amanda was over the drink-drive limit at the time of the incident.
