BIGGEST HERO BAR NONE: Astonishing High Rise Rescue

A man who climbed up the side of a building to save a child hanging from window bars has astonished social media users.

Hero Cao Luning clambered up to the fourth storey of the apartment block in Jining, Shandong province, esatern China, on 14th June.

The electrician was filmed as he reached the apartment where the youngster had slipped through window bars and was hanging on by its fingertips.

As he reaches the child, electrician Luning can be seen heaving the youngster up towards the open apartment window.

Below, a crowd stands ready with what looks like a round blanket in case the pair slip.

But the child falters and Luning climbs even higher and with a heroic shove pushes it back through the bars.

As a reward for his efforts, he was reportedly given CNY 10,000 (GBP 1,220).

Chinese media reports that the child was not injured in the incident and was safely pushed back inside the apartment.

Local authorities reminded parents to not leave their children at home alone.
