A stunning tattooist found on a Turkish beach with a gunshot wound to the head wrote in a note prior to her death that she had been sexually abused by three men.
Ilklima Naz Akboru, 20, was spotted lying motionless on the beach in Atakum District, Samsun Province, northern Turkey on the morning of 15th October.
Passers-by who found her called emergency services.
Paramedics arrived on the scene and found she had been shot in the head.
A gun was found next to her body, which was sent to her hometown in Almus District, Tokat Province following a post-mortem examination.
Cops investigating the case soon came across a letter believed to have been penned by the young woman prior to her death.
Turkish media are now reporting that she named three men in the note and claimed they all sexually abused her.
The letter reportedly read: “I want that dishonourable Arslan S. to be punished, people know what kind of a person he is.
“While I was sleeping at Doganay S.’s house, he took my underwear off and touched me, then he denied it.
“Doganay S., on the other hand, undressed me in the shower when I was too drunk to walk home and raped me.
“Hakan B., whom I had given my phone to fix, took me to his home saying he would only give it to me there.
“He tried to give me drugs and tried to kiss me in the lift on my way out of his house. But I’m out of paper.”
Turkish media also reported that Ilklima had moved from her hometown to Atakum, where she was staying with friends, because of problems with her family.
In addition to training as a tattoo artist at a local parlour, she was also saving money to buy her own property by working in cafes.
Earlier reports said Arslan S. and Doganay S. had been arrested in connection with the young woman’s death but later released on bail.
Friends had reported losing contact with Ilklima somewhat before her death, as well as noting that she appeared to be feeling down.
Police are now working with the hypothesis that the three men she named may have driven her to take her own life.
All three men have reportedly denied sexually abusing her.
Police are now trying to work out where Ilklima obtained the gun from and are analysing her call and message logs as part of the ongoing investigation.
