This is the moment a belly dancer performs a stunning routine to a death metal song.
The unusual performance, filmed in the city of Cheboksary in the south-western Russian republic of Chuvash, was arranged by rocker Igor Semyonov who wanted something different for his metal band’s new music video.
Semyonov decided on a rhythmic belly dance for the music video for his band’s new song ‘Lyubov’ (‘Love’).
He explained: “The first time I really learned about belly dancing was through my girlfriend.
“She practices belly dancing and showed me that it is one of the most sensual, emotional and tender dances there is.”
Beautiful Russian dancer Yulia Dudkina agreed to take part in the music video for Semyonov’s metal band called Vedmetall.
However, she had never listened to death metal before and she admitted it was not easy to prepare for.
The belly dancer had to spend many hours repeatedly listening to the song to find the best interpretation for it.
She also confessed that it resulted in a nasty headache or two.
To help her find her feet, Semyonov recorded a ‘softer’ version of the song which is what Dudkina dances to in the clip.
