BEAVERING ABOUT: Trapped Animal Saved from Concrete Tomb By Rescuers

Animal rescuers were kept busy as beavers when this large beaver fell into a concrete tank near a huge reservoir.

The incident happened in the city of Voronezh in south-western Russia close to a reservoir near the Vogresovsky bridge.

Employees of the local environmental protection department, together with hunters, used a special noose to trap the beaver and pull it out of the hole so it could be checked by a vet.

They can be seen holding a metal rod with a noose on the end in what appears to be a concrete water tank where the beaver is running around at the bottom trying to avoid being caught.

However, it was eventually trapped and lifted clear of the concrete prison.

Once the vet had given the beaver the all-clear, it was then taken to the reservoir and released.

The beaver appeared unconcerned after its ordeal of several hours in the concrete bunker and is even seen sitting in the water at the river’s edge for a short while.
