This beautiful young influencer has broken down in tears after sharing with her followers in a video the news that she had been drugged and raped at a rodeo.

Veterinary medicine student and influencer Franciane Andrade, 23, could barely hold back tears as she took to Instagram Stories to relate the traumatic event to her 218,000 followers on Tuesday night (30th November).

The alleged incident took place in a VIP box at the rodeo in the town of Jaguariuna in the Brazilian state of Sao Paulo between Saturday night and the early hours of Sunday, with the influencer filing a police report on Tuesday.

She is heard saying to the camera: “The police doctor found that rape really had taken place and he couldn’t tell me if it was one, two or three counts. I don’t know what to do.”

The last thing the young woman remembered was drinking in the company of friends without remembering anything that happened next before she woke up at a roundabout close to the event.

Though one of the young woman’s friends later reported having seen someone slip something into her drink, Franciane did not know what had happened at the time, and it was only when she felt pain that she went to the doctor’s, where the suspicion she had been raped was raised.

She said: “What pain I’m feeling. Unconscious, not seeing who it was… I paid for one of the most expensive boxes to have security, then this happens and no one helped me. No security guard helped me, no one.”

The student also said she was given a cocktail of medication to take against sexually transmitted infections.

She gave a three-hour statement to the police on Wednesday morning.

The rodeo’s organising committee has said it is in contact with the young woman and her family and is offering support.

Bull and bronc rodeos are the second most-attended sport in Brazil, after football.

The local police are now investigating the case, which they have registered as ‘rape’.
