Local media said that bear sightings in residential areas are becoming more frequent as they leave their habitat in search of food.

A spokesperson for the Brown Bear Foundation called the incident “an anecdotal case” but said that it is preventable.

The bear species is not known.

Netizen ‘Vanessa Prieto’ commented: “Poor bears, imagine how hungry they must be.”

‘Maria Baudor’ said: “Animals are starving and that is why they approach our towns.”
