This is the moment a female shop staff hurl discount blenders at a baying mob of customers jostling to snap them up before the cut-price white goods sell out minutes later.

The incident was filmed in the city of Nizhnekamsk in the south-western Russian republic of Tatarstan during a store discount sale.

According to reports, the crazed shoppers pushed and shoved each other out of the way to get to the discount blenders.

As consumers shouted at each other and wrestled for the electrical appliances, store workers fled to the back room where they distributed them through the PVC strip curtains.

According to local media, the blenders were on offer for just 199 RUB (2.5 GBP) for a short four-hour window only.

In the video footage posted on social media, a large crowd of shoppers is seen trying to get to the front of the queue to receive blenders being thrown out by frightened staff members in the back room.

The workers hide behind the store’s PVC strip curtains to apparently avoid being crushed in the large crowd.

People are seen pushing and shoving to claim a tossed blender before squeezing through the crowd with a smile on their face.

Reports said that the shop ran out of discounted blenders in a few minutes.

It is unclear if anyone was injured in the commotion.
