This is the moment a stunning Belarusian model claims she has a “virus blocker” badge hanging around her neck which kills viruses “within several metres”.

The bizarre claims were made by model Ekaterina Koba, 31, as she filmed herself for an Instagram video.

In the clip, the blonde model can be seen in her car as she says: “Everyone is asking me what kind of badge I have hanging around my neck. This is a virus blocker, it works within several metres.

She goes on: “There are others as well for use in homes but it’s very hard, almost impossible, to find them.”

The ‘virus blocker’ appears to be hanging from a lanyard around her neck in the video which has now been deleted from her Instagram page.

Netizens were quick to poke fun at the model, such as ‘dzmitry547’ who commented: “How could someone believe something like this?!”

And ‘nastya_brandy’ said: “Virus blockers – sounds so silly”

Koba was quick to respond to the negativity, saying: “Why would so many people be so negative here – I did not advertise anything, I did not share any direct links where one could buy it.

“This blocker was presented to me by one of my close friends together with medical masks and antiseptics to take care of myself during the COVID-19 pandemic.”

Koba claimed that the blocker is sold in pharmacies as well yet did not specify the name of the product.

Local media report ‘virus blockers’ are for sale in Russian pharmacies for around 1,000 RUB (12 GBP) which claim to kill viruses in a two-foot radius using chlorine ions.
