Balotelli is yet to play for hometown club Brescia after signing for them this summer and has now spoken to DAZN ahead of his potential debut at home to Juventus tomorrow evening (Tuesday).

When asked if he was “excited” about playing against Ronaldo, Balotelli said: “No, I’m not bothered. He’s a great player, together with Messi they are the best, it’ll be good to face up against him, but it doesn’t excite me.

“For me, the match against Juventus is just another match and I will try to score like in any other match to try to win.”

The former Liverpool striker said he is aiming to make a return to the Italy squad for Euro 2020, adding: “Playing in the European Championships is my objective but I’m not thinking about Italy now, just getting back to 200 percent.

“I’m calm because it’s up there with the most I have worked. The most important thing is feeling good even though, obviously, I’m not in the best rhythm. My weight? The same as when I arrived at City and was 20 years old.”

The striker has not played for his national team since September 2018.
