This is the moment a ball boy running after a dog which had run onto the pitch during a top-flight match in Brazil slips and belly flops onto the turf.
The incident occurred in the match between Centro Sportivo Alagoano (CSA) and Cruzeiro in the Brazilian top-flight Campeonato Brasileiro Serie A held in the city of Maceio, in the state of Alagoas in northeastern Brazil.

The spectacle happened when a dog invaded the pitch which caused the match to be stopped by the referee in the 31st minute of the second half.
In the video, the dog can be seen running across the pitch as a reported ball boy runs after it.

The stadium employee loses his footing as he leans forward too far to grab hold of the dog and falls flat on his stomach.
According to local media, Grupo Globo commentator Ledio Carmona jokingly asked for the use of VAR during the incident, saying: “Call VAR to see how this dog got onto the pitch!”

The dog was eventually caught and taken off the pitch before the referee allowed for the match to continue, according to reports.
The match ended in a 1-1 draw with the goals coming from the Brazilian international striker Federico Chaves Guedes, more commonly known as Fred, for CSA in the 11th minute. Right-back Luis Dialisson de Souza Alvez, known as Apodi, scored in the 94th minute to equalise for Cruzeiro.
