A thug who threw a woman wrapped in a blanket from an apartment block’s fourth-floor balcony has been seized by police.

Astonishingly the woman survived the 70-foot fall but was severely injured with multiple broken bones.

Police in Tulsa City, Oklahoma State, USA, arrested suspect Richard Lee Wallace Jr. after the horrific fall on 18th March.

The victim was found still alive in the building courtyard and was rushed to hospital in critical condition.

Police say security CCTV shows Wallace walking to the common area on the block’s fourth storey carrying the woman and then throwing her off the balcony.

Afterwards, he walked calmly back to his apartment where police seized him after a tense standoff.

Wallace was taken into custody and charged with aggravated assault and battery.

There have been no updates on the woman’s condition.

Tulsa police spokesperson Preston Stanley told Law&Crime News: “We don’t typically get updates on victims unless their condition changes in a way that would require amended charges (like if she passed away from her injuries, we would be notified).”

It is unclear what the relationship between Wallace and the victim is.

Wallace was booked into Tulsa County Jail on a USD 10,000 bond (GBP 8,184).

His first court appearance was reportedly scheduled for 24th March.
