According to local media, the man regained consciousness but later fainted and died two days later.

Minervino had experience backpacking and had already travelled for two years through South America with his bike.

The place where the young man fell is the same spot where a traveller fell to his death in 2019.

Meanwhile, in February this year, Vanesa Soas, 35, also fell at the same spot but managed to recover from her injuries.

Local media reported that in the area, there are no warning messages or security measures to guarantee the security of the visitors.
