Austria’s largest brothel is offering clients free entry and discounts if they get their COVID jab there.

The unusual initiative to boost vaccine uptake will be launched on 1st November at Austria’s biggest brothel ‘Funpalast ‘ located in the capital Vienna.

Brothel manager Peter Laskaris told the news site Heute: “As normal for a brothel, anyone can come here and pick up their free jab without an appointment.”

The jabs will be available every Monday from 4 pm to 10 pm and newly vaccinated guests will enjoy free access to the billiards room, swimming pool and private rooms until 4am.

A EUR 30 voucher is available for drinks and bathrobes in the establishment.

Samira, who works at Funpalast, told Heute: “Everyone is welcome, but we feel safer with vaccinated men.”

Heute reports that brothels are subject to the same rules as nightclubs with guests required to prove they have been vaccinated, provide a negative test, or have recently recovered from the virus.

Laskaris added that the jabs are also available to people who do not want to enter the brothel, and women and children are encouraged to come and get the vaccine.

As in any vaccination centre, visitors will have to bring a form of ID, a protective face mask, and children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult.

Following the vaccine, those who want to take advantage of the free entry and voucher will have to wait 15 minutes before entering the brothel.
