Australian model Karina Irby has shared photos of her bloated tummy to point out to haters that it is just her “girlie cycle” and nothing to do with being “fat” or needing to go gluten free.
The curvy blonde, who designs swimwear for her company Moana Bikini, shared the images on Instagram where she boasts 1.2 million followers.
In the photo, the 31-year-old Aussie model is seen posing in leopard-print swimwear while showing off her bloated belly with the message: “I’m currently half way through my girlie cycle and this is normally where I bloat the most.
“Please DON’T tell me I’m fat. Please DON’T tell me I should be gluten free. Please DON’T tell me I need to be vegan. Please DON’T tell me I need to workout.
“This is just being a woman, and if you don’t understand that, then run along.”
She added: “I love sharing my bloated photos and videos but don’t appreciate unqualified Instagram doctors trying to explain WHY I’m bloated and instilling fear into myself and others.
“No one knows your body better than you do. Listen to it. Not strangers’ opinions on it.
“Just accept that everybody bloats from time to time. And it’s something that needs to be normalised more.”
Karina concluded: “There’s nothing wrong with you. You might just need to fart…”
Instagram user ‘Danielle_nicole_27’ commented: “Love this. I Enjoy when I am super bloated and people tell me not to eat dairy or gluten. I truly love when I tell them I do not and they just stare. Like sit down you know you bloat as well. It happens.”
Netizen ‘Celandcel’ said: “I always bloat on my cycle and my belly looks like this too here’s to normalisation.”
In July, the Aussie stunner shared a photo of her ‘love handles’ on show while posing in one of her bikinis with the message: “Am I not skinny enough for your feed?… I’ve come to the conclusion those types of people have a sickly, secret obsession with store mannequins. And nothing against store mannequins… I’m sure they are great gals.
“But real women look like this. And all different types of ways. The quicker they get their head around it, the quicker they might have a chance to see a women naked in real life. Not in porn. And not in between clothing changes in the shop window.”
