Dutch police have released new footage of two conspiracy theorists setting fire to a 5G mast following a wave of arson attacks on the recently-installed towers.

The Dutch authorities said that a total of 16 5G masts in the Netherlands have fallen foul of arsonists since the rollout began.

The most recent incident took place on 18th April when a transmission mast on the roof of a multi-storey car park in the capital Amsterdam was set alight by two youths.

Conspiracy theorists believe that viruses are not transmitted between people, but are secreted by cells as exosomes when the human body clears itself of toxins.

They claim that new 5G electromagnetic waves are poisoning the cells and weakening the human immune system, leaving it susceptible to illness.

Activists also point out that the Chinese city of Wuhan switched on its 5G network at exactly the same time as the virus broke out to back up their claims.

However, the theory has been dismissed as groundless and the International Commission on Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection that has found no evidence suggesting 5G poses a risk to human health.

In the UK, broadcast regulator Ofcom has already sanctioned a small radio station for featuring a guest who claimed 5G caused the pandemic.

Another video of an arson attack in Groningen last week shows a man, who police say is aged between 25 and 30, pouring flammable liquid over a mast before setting it alight.

There was a similar incident in Dronten on 10th April after two men were filmed filling a jerry can at a nearby petrol station.

The police investigation is ongoing.
