This is the moment a pair of armed thugs rob a group of women queuing up outside a pharmacy and waiting their turn to go in because of social distancing rules.

The lightning-quick robbery took place in front of a pharmacy in the town of Villa Bosch in Tres de Febrero County of Buenos Aires province in north-eastern Argentina and was recorded by a security camera.

In the footage, several women can be seen lining up outside a pharmacy while they wait for their turn when suddenly a pair of men rush into shot.

The man nearest the camera appears to be holding a gun and he snatches the woman’s purses and phones out of their hands as his accomplice does the same to a woman behind them.

The thugs then sprint away from the scene as the victims ask for help from the pharmacist. Reports state the criminals used a luxury car in the robbery.

An unnamed local resident said: “Since Monday the Tres de Febrero country has sent more policemen to protect the shops that are open during the pandemic. In some cases is not enough”

The pharmacy owner whose name has not been reported said: “Luckily we have two policemen who guard the corner. My attention was drawn to the luxury car they came in. I had never seen them around.”

The police are investigating the security camera footage as they suspect a stolen car was used to carry out the robbery. The investigation is ongoing and no robberies have been reported.
