This is the moment a shotgun-wielding robber’s leg seems to snap leaving him to hobble away empty-handed after he violently tries to kick open the door in a failed pawn shop robbery.
The bungled robbery took place at the business on Zalesskaya Street in the city of Simferopol on the disputed Crimean Peninsula, and the CCTV footage was later shared on social media where it has been viewed over 131,000 times.
In the footage, a hooded man in black enters the pawnshop with what appears to be a shotgun before telling four male customers to lie on the floor.
He then starts kicking at a door and on the third attempt his lower leg is seen bending upwards in an odd shape.
Clearly in pain, the bungling burglar begins limping around the shop and then fires once at the door.
The injured suspect then appears to give up his robbery attempt, and he turns to the door and gingerly hobbles outside.
According to local media, the unidentified robber appeared to broken his leg in the incident.
The robbery attempt took place on 23rd January and the local police are still trying to track the injured suspect down.
Netizen ‘Krymchane’ said: “Some people can’t work, but they seem unable to steal either.”
‘If’ joked: “What a clean job!”
