Argie Summer Downpour Creates Amazing Rain Mushroom

This is the moment a raincloud sends down an intense summer downpour on an Argentine city that resembles a giant mushroom.

The ‘rain mushroom’, as netizens called it, was filmed by a motorist in the city of Santiago del Estero in the northern Argentine province of the same name.

According to media, the phenomenon took place at around 8pm during a sudden downpour on an otherwise hot summer’s day when temperatures exceeded 35 degrees Celsius.

In the footage, a brooding cloud is seen overhanging the road as the rainfall appears like a mushroom stem.

The National Meteorological Service warned residents that storms are expected on Thursday, according to reports.

Meanwhile, local media said the intense downpour, which also resembles a tornado from a distance, is common in the region.

According to reports, the ‘rain mushroom’ disappeared when the storm passed.

Santiago del Estero is reportedly experience a hot summer and temperatures that day hit 35 degrees Celsius.

Meanwhile, the ‘thermal comfort’, a condition of mind that expresses satisfaction with the thermal environment, was said to be around 50 degrees Celsius, according to local media.
