Argentine model and singer Luciana Salazar has sparked outrage after being snapped with her maid in an old-fashioned pink uniform while shopping in a supermarket.
Images of the model’s employee pushing the supermarket trolley while wearing a stereotypical pink uniform were widely shared on social media, prompting a backlash from netizens and other Argentine celebrities.
According to the news site Infobae, Luciana Salazar, 40, visited a supermarket in the district of Nordelta in the eastern Argentine province of Buenos Aires with her daughter Matilda and the unnamed maid.

Argentine actress Yanina Latorre said on Twitter: “It’s horrible that she makes the lady dress in that uniform as if she was a slave.”
She added that it should be “forbidden to use those rags”.
Latorre later posted: “[Look] how she goes to the supermarket with a female worker, dressed in old-fashioned pink from the 80s while making her push the trolley.”

Argentine TV personality Cinthia Fernandez also waded into the debate: “My God, is it necessary to force a lady who helps her to wear a uniform in the supermarket (and inside as well)? It’s like taking her out for a walk and letting everyone see that she has domestic staff.”
When asked about Latorres’ scathing reaction to the photo, Salazar said: “It’s stupid, whoever thinks that has the same mentality. So, doctors and those who work in receptions are also stigmatised?”
