Argentinian Man Dodges Speeding Pickup Truck At The Last Second Avoiding Death By A Whisker

This is the moment an Argentinian man is saved by his reflexes as he dodges a speeding pickup truck that had mounted the pavement, avoiding being run over by less than an inch.

The incident was caught on CCTV in the city of Rosario located in the central Argentinian province of Santa Fe last Saturday (19th June).

The lucky pedestrian, identified only as Sergio, told the local news site Rosario media: “I saw the truck coming towards me and I did what I could to survive.”

He added: “I was saved. I believe it was a miracle.”

Sergio’s dramatic near-death experience was recorded by a shop’s security camera.

In the footage, Sergio can be seen walking along when suddenly he stops, puts up his hands and jumps to the side.

A red Fiat Toro pickup truck then flies past Sergio, missing him by inches before smashing into the shop behind him.

According to the local news site Clarin, the truck had just been involved in a crash with a taxi which led to the driver losing control and mounting the pavement where Sergio was walking.

Sergio said that following the incident: “The witnesses were more scared than I was.”

He added: “They kept asking if I was okay but the truth is what happened hadn’t really sunk in at the time.”

Sergio wanted to take the opportunity to remind everyone who drives a car to be very careful as it doesn’t take much for a small mistake to lead to someone losing their lives or being severely injured.

Local media did not report whether authorities have opened an investigation into the incident.
