This is the moment an angry motorist wrecks his own car after being fined by the cops who also discovered the vehicle had not passed its MOT test.

The ‘Basil Fawlty’ moment was filmed in the city of Valencia in the eastern Spanish autonomous community of the same name, and the footage was shared on Twitter by the local police where it has been viewed 360,000 times.

In the footage, the screaming car owner is seen kicking and punching different parts of his car before stripping off parts of the front bumper.

Meanwhile stunned cops and onlookers stand nearby watching the scene as the driver’s companion also takes out his frustration on the old Volkswagen.

According to local media, the police fined the driver for parking in an area where it is not allowed.

Reports said the driver tried to convince the cops to tear up the fine and when they refused, he reacted violently.

According to local media, when the officers asked to see the driver’s documents, they discovered that the car had not passed its MOT.

It is unclear whether the motorist was arrested or is facing charges for the driving offences.
