Angry Cyclist Stomps On Parked Car In Cycling Lane In Protest

This is the moment an angry cyclist walks over a parked car with her bike because it is parked in a cycling lane.

The clip was filmed in Queretaro City in the Mexican state of Queretaro while a group of cyclists was riding on the bike lane in the historic centre, and was shared on social media by the news page ‘Hoy Estado de Mexico’ last week.

A white car was parked in the cycling lane and one woman decided to walk over it with her bike as if it wasn’t there.

In the clip, the angry cyclist is seen stomping on the bonnet, roof and boot of the vehicle with her bike by her side.

Meanwhile, other cyclists shout “this is a bike lane” and one man walks past with a sign on his bike saying: “Queretaro (was) is a bicycle town.”

The group of cyclists also pointed out that 30 cyclists have been run over on the roads so far this year.

The footage divided opinion on social media with some netizens supporting the cyclists’ action and others demanding that they show more respect for other road users.

It is unclear if the car owner filed a complaint or if the local authorities are looking into the matter.
