This is the moment a Turkish bus driver tries to destroy a kebab shop by ramming his vehicle into the eatery because the owner told him to be more polite.

The bizarre incident occurred in the Mersin Province in southern Turkey and the driver’s rampage was recorded by an onlooker.

Local media report the bus driver named in reports by the initials V.D. was off-duty and had been arguing with a woman in the street about her dog making too much noise when the kebab shop owner told him to be more polite to the woman.

V.D., who was reportedly drunk, is then said to have turned to the owner, Omer Asci, and shoved him before running away.

He then reportedly returned to the scene in his bus and in the video, he can be seen repeatedly driving the vehicle into Asci’s roadside kebab house.

Those inside the restaurant reportedly fled and in the video customers and workers can be seen trying to stop the driver’s rampage.

At one point the driver reverses far into the road only to accelerate into the restaurant again.

He then reverses into a lampost before driving away down a pavement as pedestrians run away in fear.

Nobody was injured in the incident but serious material damage was reported to the restaurant while the police managed to capture V.D. and detain him. The legal procedures are still ongoing and it is unclear if he has been charged.
