AMERICAN AIRSPRAYS: Planes Used To Quench Montana Wildfire

This video shows the moment a large jet flew over the Arrastra wildfire and dumped a great amount of fire retardant in multiple efforts to get the fire subdued.

The Arrastra fire started on the west end of the Lincoln Ranger District in the Helena-Lewis and Clark National Forest, near Helmville, Montana, in the United States.

Helena-Lewis and Clark National Forest Service thanked the Montana Department of Natural Resources and Conservation, Lolo National Forest, Helmville Volunteer Fire Department, Ovando Volunteer Fire Department, Lincoln Volunteer Fire Department and Lincoln Ranger District for providing a strong response to the fire via ground and aerial resources.

The Arrastra Fire was first reported on Tuesday, 6th September at 2:55 pm. A red flag warning has been issued as of Wednesday, 7th September due to the current hot, dry, and dangerous conditions.

Its cause is yet to be determined.
