This is the moment ambulances sound their sirens outside the home of Zara founder Amancio Ortega on his birthday after he donated 300,000 face masks to medics.
The incident was filmed outside Ortega’s house in the city of A Coruna in the north-western Spanish region of Galicia on his birthday on 28th March.
In the footage, eight ambulances are seen parked in front of a large building before sounding their sirens in unison to honour Ortega’s 84th birthday after he reportedly flew in 300,000 face masks for Spanish medics to use during the COVID-19 outbreak.

Following the Zara founder’s generous act, several celebrities praised him on social media, including Cristiano Ronaldo’s partner Georgina Rodriguez who said: “This is how health professionals thanked Amancio Ortega yesterday on his birthday.
“Happy birthday. It is a trait to be grateful in life. Tons of gratitude!”
According to local media, Ortega bought 300,000 face masks from China which he flew into Spain to be donated among healthcare professionals battling COVID-19.
Meanwhile, his daughter Marta Ortega has reportedly donated 75,000 protective suits to Spanish medics.
As of 30th March, Spain has reported 85,195 cases of COVID-19 and 7,340 related deaths, according to the latest data from the Johns Hopkins University.
Meanwhile, 16,780 people have made full recoveries.
