Alligator Battles With Huge Anaconda In Brazilian Creek

This is the moment a fearsome alligator battles with a large anaconda in a Brazilian creek.

The ‘Battle of the Reptiles’ was filmed at Mindu Creek in the neighbourhood of Parque Dez in the city of Manaus in the Brazilian state of Amazonas on the morning of 25th November.

In the footage, the alligator is seen chomping on the large snake that initially appears to be trying to swim away in the creek, before then going into the attack itself.

With part of its body in the alligator’s jaws, the anaconda coils itself around its foe and tries to crush it.

But the alligator thrashes its body to apparently throw the coiling snake off as the video comes to end.

According to the news site Em Tempo, the cameraperson was walking on a bridge over the creek when he noticed a man and his pet dog watching the scene.

The cameraperson went over to take a look and quickly reached for their phone when they saw the alligator and anaconda fighting in the water.

They managed to film the moment the alligator pounced on the snake and reportedly went on to win the battle, devouring the snake after fatally injuring it.

In October, an alligator and an anaconda were filmed fighting on the banks of Cuiaba River in the state of Mato Grosso.
