Albanian Dad In Germany Murders Two Sons Aged 11 And 13 And Severely Injures Wife Before Killing Self

An Albanian dad is believed to have murdered these two boys and seriously injured his wife before turning the gun on himself in Germany.

The shocking incident took place in the small town of Glinde near the northern German city of Hamburg on 25th December and police currently investigating the shooting believe the father, named as Flamur Rexha, 44, shot his two sons before shooting his wife and then himself.

The alarm was raised by the neighbours of the family, who Balkan media report were ethnic Albanians from Kosovo.

The neighbours heard gunshots from the block of flats where the family lived, according to the police. The two unnamed boys, aged 11 and 13, and their parents were all found with gunshot wounds.

The emergency services arrived on the scene and declared the two children dead. The 44-year-old father died of his injuries a short while later.

The man’s wife, Advije Rexha, 38, was taken to hospital. She is currently in an induced coma, but her life is not believed to be in danger.

A spokesperson for the prosecutor’s office said: “We assume that they are the biological parents and that they were also married.”

The spokesperson also added that no previous convictions are known and the incident may have been motivated by family problems. Neighbours reportedly said that the father, a craftsman, was quick-tempered.

The motive of the murder is still unknown and the investigation is ongoing, including forensic tests to see who fired the weapon.
