Airship Crashes Into Lake And Food Stall In Botched Landing Attempt

This is the moment an airship crashes into a lake and then a food stall in a botched landing attempt that saw it rise up into the sky again as the footage ends.

The incident took place in the city of Leon, which is located in the Mexican state of Guanajuato, during their International Balloon Festival, which takes place annually in the second week of November.

The footage shows the bright yellow airship, make and model unknown, approaching the shore of the lake at speed.

It crashes into the water but it appears that its pilot manages to pull it up at the last second, avoiding complete submersion and allowing it to continue its journey as it attempted to land on the shore.

But even once it reached the shore, the airship was not out of the woods yet.

Indeed, it can be seen crashing into a food stall, nearly ripping it off the ground.

Luckily though, the airship stops its mad race and can be seen rising gently into the sky as the footage comes to an end.

No one was injured, according to local media reports.

It is currently unclear if police are investigating the incident and if the airship was damaged.
