AIR LIFTED: California Firefighters Save 79-Year-Old Man As He Gets Evacuated Out Of His Flooded Home

This is the moment a 79-year-old man gets airlifted by rescuers as he gets evacuated from his home that got flooded when the Santa Maria river in California overflowed.

A break in the river’s levee reportedly flooded over 20 homes and left many others displaced, said Scott Safechuck, a spokesperson for the local fire department.

The people were reportedly relocated by Santa Maria City rescuers.

A short clip filmed by Safechuck shows firefighters relocating a 79-year-old man being hoisted up via helicopter from his yard that is visibly covered in several inches of water.
