The footage sparked outrage and prompted the Bartin Health Department to launch an investigation.

A spokesperson said: “Upon receiving the video shared on social media titled ‘Bartin State Hospital Emergency Unit’ which caused outrage on social media, our provincial directorate has started an investigation.

“The actions of the employee who was visiting websites not connected to her role were inappropriate.

“Measures have also been taken to prohibit the use of work computers for anything other than hospital tasks.”

It is unclear what these measures are and the investigation is ongoing.

Netizen ‘Hasan Aydin’ commented: “Unfortunately, this is something we see a lot of in this country. She should be sacked immediately!”

‘Murat Cin’ said: “She gets paid by the state and look what she does.”

‘Timur Emir’ wrote: “This happens at most hospitals!”
