Adventure Influencer Dies In Plane Crash In Iceland Aged 32

Belgian skydiver and influencer Nicola Bellavia has died in a plane crash in Iceland aged just 32.

The handsome adventurer died in the plane crash on 3rd February along with Icelandic pilot Haraldur Diego, 49, and an American and a Dutchman, 27, names not reported, who lived in Belgium.

The Cessna C172 plane reportedly crashed in bad weather. However, no distress signal was sent and the pilot was considered highly experienced. The cause remains under investigation, according to Icelandic reports.

The wreckage was discovered at the bottom of a lake. However, the victims were not found in it and there is no longer any hope of finding them alive.

Bellavia, 32, who came from the Belgian municipality of Lasne and had Italian and Spanish roots, used to share his experiences on Instagram for his 21,000 followers.

He had recently travelled to several countries in Africa and took part in a parachute jump over the Pyramids in Egypt.

A farewell message was shared on Instagram on 6th February that read: “Nicola Bellavia – A Free Spirit. 03/25/1989 – 02/03/2022.”

The post included a recent quote from Nicola: “Honestly, this year has been one of the best years of my life. I have met many beautiful souls around the world, had more adventures than ever before and have been able to take time to connect with the elements to feel inner peace.”

As well as being a skydiver and influencer, Bellavia was also a surfer, freediver, and photographer.

His partner Alexia said: “He lived for the adventure. He always wanted to meet new people and felt as free as a bird.”
