This footage shows cute and very helpful llamas delivering shopping to people in Wales who need it during the COVID-19 lockdown.
The animals were filmed in Pembrokeshire where they are normally used for trekking tours,
But with Britain in lockdown, the animals are being used to deliver shopping to at-risk groups during the COVID restrictions.
The firm behind the service, Pembrokeshire Llamas, was set up by Matt Yorke and Alexandria Blackford in 2015.
They decided to do the shopping delivery service – which is provided free to local residents – as a way to keep the llamas active and trained in the absence of tourists.
Speaking to Newsflash Matt Yorke said that feedback has been very positive so far.
He added: “Our regular business has been completely shut down by the pandemic – 100 per cent of our income comes from llama trekking and farm stays which we are not allowed to do at the moment.”
Speaking about the COVID crisis in the area he said: “Covid infections in this area are one of the lowest in Wales at the moment as we are in the far west of the country – but that could change in future as the virus spreads across the country.
“We don’t know if we will have any visitors or tourists in the summer yet – it’s up to the Welsh government. However, at this stage it looks unlikely, which will have a huge impact on our business as this is our core busy season.”
