This is the viral moment a dad-and-daughter duo perform ‘Killing in the Name’ by Rage Against the Machine that was even shared by guitarist Tom Morello with the message “preach sister preach”.

The young girl called Audrey performed the protest song with her dad Ujang Ijon playing acoustic guitar to create a two-minute clip that ends before the song’s lyrics turn sweary.

Ujang Ijon’s video went viral on Facebook with over 1.5 million views in two days.

Rage against the Machine guitarist Tom Morello even shared the cute cover version on Twitter with the caption “preach sister preach”.

Morello learned about the video when the Indonesian band Head Crusher shared the clip and tagged the American guitarist.

The anti-establishment song from 1992 is notoriously complicated to perform and Audrey’s rendition even managed to include the trademark “arrrrgggggggh!” cry.

In the footage, Audrey, whose exact age is unclear, invokes the rage of former vocalist Zack de la Rocha while belting out the rock number.

The dad did not comment on requests for more information, but his Facebook page says he’s a magician from Labuan in Borneo. On YouTube he said it recorded the clip while having fun with his kids at home.

Rage against the Machine formed in 1991 before splitting in 2000 following the departure of vocalist Zack de la Rocha.

The band reformed in 2007 until 2011 and they reunited again last year.
