As the cabbie speeds through the intersection and directly into the path of the unsuspecting pedestrian, a black car approaches from the left and crashes into the side of the taxi.

The impact sends the yellow cab spinning away from the pedestrian just in the nick of time.

Netizens praised the driver of the black vehicle as an “accidental hero” for saving the pedestrian’s life.

Meanwhile, the police said that they were called to the scene at around 8.20pm and confirmed that an investigation is currently underway.

A police spokesperson said that a 61-year-old woman was injured in the accident and was taken to the Singapore General Hospital while still “conscious”.
