Local media report a group of teenagers had been walking down the tracks when the train travelling from the south-western Russian city of Saratov to the Uzbekistan capital city of Tashkent came up behind them.

One of the boys reportedly heard the driver sounding the horn and in the video can be seen walking alongside the tracks but another youngster, 16 years old, is still strolling down the tracks as the train approaches from behind.

In the clip, recorded from the driver’s cabin in the train, the horn can be heard blaring but the teenager cannot hear it as he was listening to music on his headphones.

The driver cannot stop in time and runs over the teenager at high speed. It is believed the driver recorded the incident to prove he could do nothing to avoid the accident.

He can be heard praying to Allah after hitting the boy.
