This is the moment a driver manages to dodge an oncoming rubbish truck at the last second as the dustcart is sent crashing across the lanes of a motorway.
The startling incident took place on the Novopriozersky motorway in Vsevolozhsky District in the Leningrad Oblast region in north-western Russia.
In the video, recorded by a dashcam, traffic can be seen moving normally along the motorway when a rubbish truck in an oncoming lane suddenly overturns.
The overturned dustcart smashes through the crash barriers towards a black car, whose driver manages to swerve out its way at the last second.
Debris is sent into the air as the driver of the car recording also swerves out of the way of the overturned dustcart.
Local media report only the driver of the rubbish truck was injured in the incident, receiving minor injuries. None of the drivers have been named in reports.
Local media state that one of the rubbish truck’s wheels is said to have snapped off, sending it onto its side and into the oncoming lane.
it is unclear if an investigation has been launched into the incident.
