7am Brawl On Spanish Train Leaves Guard Part Blind

This is the moment a massive brawl breaks out on a Spanish train at 7 am leaving two security guards injured and another partially blind.

The fight happened on a train operated by Spanish train company Renfe in the city of Barcelona in the community of Catalonia in northeastern Spain.

According to local media, the brawl started at around 7 am on Sunday when two groups of young people clashed on the train line between the nearby municipality of Blanes (Girona) and Barcelona.

The groups were reportedly coming from a night out of partying.

Reports said that three security guards were injured while they intervened to stop the fight as they were beaten and had objects thrown at them.

According to Renfe, two of the guards were reportedly transferred to a hospital where they needed to have their wounds treated with stitches with one of them partially losing his sight and suffering wounds to his face and his nose.

The Catalonian police Mossos d’Esquadra managed to identify several people who participated in the brawl and arrested a 19-year-old man and a minor boy whose names are not reported.

The two suspects are accused of threats, aggression and damaging public facilities. Both the arrested people were Spanish.

It is unclear if the suspects were charged.
