6 Men Sent Flying As DHL Rams Lorry In Hit-And-Run

This is the moment six men sitting in the back of a flatbed lorry are sent crashing to the ground when a DHL driver rams the vehicle from behind before reportedly fleeing the scene.

The startling scene took place in the Tanah Merah area, in the East Region of Singapore and the driver of the DHL lorry did not stop after crashing into the van.

In the video, they yellow DHL lorry can be seen hitting the back of the blue van, sending the six men in orange jumpsuits sitting in the back, reportedly workers, flying onto the tarmac as the van driver loses control.

Four of the men spring to their feet whilst two of them remain on the tarmac injured. One of the injured men is dragged off the road and local media report paramedics were called and gave treatment to six people who were later taken to the Changi General Hospital.

Police sources confirmed the six injured people, whose ages range from 31 to 40, were all conscious upon entering the hospital and they are investigating the incident.

Reports state the DHL driver did not stop after the accident and a spokesperson from the company confirmed they were aware of what happened. The company said a sub-contractor had been driving the lorry for the company at the time of the incident.

DHL said the sub-contractor had filed a report with the police and was helping police officers in their investigation.

No arrests have been reported and the investigation is ongoing.
