30M Views For School Teens Dramatic Needle Reaction

This viral video seen more than 30 million times shows a screaming high school student’s dramatic reaction to having his blood drawn by a nurse as his classmates struggle not to laugh.

The boy, whose ex AsiaWire ct age is unknown but who is believed to be between 16 and 18 years old, attending Baicui High School in Shenyang, capital of north-eastern China’s Liaoning Province, did not hold back his emotions when it was his turn to have the thick needle jabbed into his right arm on 22nd November.

The side-splitting clip shows a nurse having tied a rubber tube around his limb to enlarge his vein, but the boy is already shouting into the packed gymnasium as she rubs iodine over the crook of his arm.

His classmates queueing behind him cannot hold back their laughter and roar with amusement as the boy nods nervously at the nurse to indicate he is already despite being unable to stop shaking at the same time.

The footage then shows the pupil covering his mouth with his left hand as he looks away from the syringe quickly filling with is dark red blood.

A teacher at the privately run Baicui High School told local media that the boy did not faint at the sight of needles or blood.

The teacher felt the pupil’s reactions were somewhat “exaggerated”, but social media users, who have commented in their tens of thousands, have sympathised with the boy.

Netizen ‘Yueguang Caiyuan Shidai’ said: “Boys who fear needles are numerous! And it has nothing to do with their age.”

‘Yinhexi Zuishuaide Nanren’ added: “I looks genuinely scared.”

‘Xieyatingll’ commented: “Even the boy with the crutches behind him is laughing.”
