The shocking CCTV images show the as yet unnamed pensioner with a walking stick being struck from behind by a motorcyclist who also falls off his bike.

The male perpetrator appears to attempt to help the victim back to his feet but quickly gives up, dropping him again before riding off on his motorbike.

Just 30 seconds later, with the injured senior citizen struggling by the side of the road, he is struck a second time by a second passing motorcyclist, who turns his head but does not stop, the video shows.

Roughly six minutes after that, the traffic camera footage shows the pensioner still trying to pick himself up off the ground when he is run over a third time by a passing car.

All three hit-and-run suspects leave the pensioner for dead, with Beiliu police saying the victim later died of his injuries.

The authorities are now asking any witnesses or those with knowledge of the incident to provide information which might help investigators solve the shocking case.

The police are also offering a cash reward of an as yet unspecified amount.

They have also called for the drivers to turn themselves in in exchange for more lenient sentencing.
