3 El Chapo Cell Hitmen Nabbed With Guns And Crystal Meth

The Mexican authorities have announced the arrest of these three alleged hitmen from an armed cell of El Chapo’s Sinaloa Cartel after they were allegedly nabbed with weapons and crystal meth.

Two of the suspects, named as Lorenzo and Carlos, were arrested in the colony Villas del Sur, in the city of Ciudad Juarez, in the northern Mexican state of Chihuahua, by officers of the State Commission of Security.

Official sources report in a press statement the two men were arrested carrying a gun and crystal meth.

The third suspect, also named Carlos, was arrested in the colony Heroes de la Revolucion, also in Ciudad Juarez. Official sources report a weapon, two bags containing half a kilogramme of crystal meth in total, and a vehicle were also seized during the arrest.

All three alleged hitmen were taken to the prosecution where the investigation will continue.

The three men are believed to belong to Los Mexicles, a cell of the Sinaloa cartel which was led by the drug lord Joaquin ‘El Chapo’ Guzman before his extradition to the United States, where he is currently serving a life sentence at the maximum-security ADX Florence prison in Colorado.

Los Mexicles is reportedly one of the armed cells and most violent factions of the cartel. It was reportedly formed by gang members deported from the United States to Mexico and worked in northern Mexico.

On 6th November this year, the cell was linked with the burning of 10 lorries in Ciudad Juarez, leaving at least six people injured.

It is unclear if the three suspects have been charged.
