Stunning 21-year-old fashion model Kate Peshkova has revealed that she used to be mocked at school for being a chubby teen.

Peshkova, full name Ekaterina Peshkova, hails from the city of Perm in the western Russian region of Perm Krai, and models for famous fashion designers such as Giorgio Armani, Roberto Cavalli and Alberta Ferretti.

The Russian model recently revealed that she used to weigh 91 kilogrammes (14.3 stone) as a teenager and was ridiculed by classmates.

Peshkova said: “When I was 14 I weighed over 90 kilogrammes (14.2 stone) and I used to eat fast food, rolls, pasta, and I loved fizzy drinks.

“However, as commonly happens with those who want to buckle down and change themselves, I stood on the scales and saw I was 91 kilogrammes (14.3 stone) and I decided ‘that is enough’!

“In addition, I began to be targeted by my classmates.”

Svetlana Motolygina of the Belle modelling agency in the city of Perm spotted Peshkova on the street and helped to make her the sought-after fashion model she is today.

Motolygina said: “I found Katya on the street. I was driving in the car with my husband, in somewhat of a hurry, and in the crowd flashed the face of an angel.

“She was with her mother at the time. I have a good eye for faces and I told my husband that I just saw a very cool girl. He then turned the car around.

“I got out of the car and introduced myself. Seeing Katya closer, I realised I was not mistaken. She had great potential, but it was necessary to work on her weight.”

Peshkova’s mum did not have enough money to pay for a fitness trainer so the budding model watched online videos and copied the exercises.

She quit junk food and fizzy drinks and lost 30 kilogrammes (4.7 stone) over the next three years, becoming a stunning model who is now in demand with the fashion industry’s biggest designers and publications.
