2 US Tourists Evacuated From Cruise Ship By Helicopter

This is the moment two American OAPs are lifted off a cruise ship by helicopter after they began vomiting blood.

The startling incident occurred after the two American nationals, who have not been named but are two men aged 65 and 90, both suffered digestive haemorrhages and fainted.

The ship was reportedly 210 kilometres from the city of Mar del Plata, in the eastern Argentine province of Buenos Aires when the Argentine Naval Prefecture were alerted.

The doctor on-board the ship had reportedly requested assistance from the Air Station of Mar del Plata as the two men were vomiting blood.

A doctor from the Naval Prefecture ordered an urgent evacuation and a specialised team was sent to the ship in a helicopter, as can be seen in the video.

The pair were helped to the helicopter and received initial treatment in the air before landing at the Naval Prefecture helicopter headquarters in Mar del Plata.

An ambulance them to the Private Hospital of the Community, the Naval Prefecture commented in a press statement.

It is unclear what caused the haemorrhages and there have been no updates on the condition of the men.
